Exterior Painting
Weather protection and long lasting results you can rely on.
Exterior painting protects and refreshes the outside of a property: render, roughcast and masonry walls, timber windows, doors, fascias and railings. Adam Young prepares, primes and paints exteriors across Clackmannanshire, Stirling and Falkirk with products chosen to stand up to the Scottish climate.
Exterior paintwork in central Scotland has to cope with wind, rain and big swings in temperature. Good preparation and the right exterior products make the difference between a finish that lasts a couple of years and one that still looks good a decade on. I prepare, prime and paint exterior surfaces so your home is protected as well as looking its best.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
When is the best time of year for exterior painting in Scotland?
Late spring to early autumn gives the most reliable dry, mild weather. Modern exterior paints can be applied in cooler conditions, but surfaces must be dry, so I plan exterior work around the forecast.
How often should the outside of a house be repainted?
Masonry and render typically need repainting every eight to twelve years, exterior woodwork every four to six years, depending on exposure. Regular maintenance is cheaper than letting timber or render deteriorate.
Do you work at height?
Yes. Ladders, towers and access equipment are used as appropriate for the job and I will discuss access when I quote.
